Alex and I closed on our townhome 3 weeks ago today. This weekend, we finally finished renovating the downstairs. I'm in love. I can't stop smiling. And I can't wait to finally move in! Thank you SO very very much to every single person that has helped. Our parents, our siblings, and our friends. We could not have gotten to this point without each and every one of you! Also, we didn't take as many "before" photos as I would have liked... because we were so excited to change everything, but there are enough to give you a general idea! Living Room Before:

Alex, his dad and our brother-in-law scraped off all of the popcorn ceilings:

We ripped up every inch of flooring and scraped off more popcorn. There was dust EVERYWHERE!

Dining Room After:

Allie_Baby_Shower_475I got all of the light fixtures and edison bulbs from Lowes. We refinished the dining room table from Goodwill nearly two years ago and it fit perfectly in the new space.

Alex built that wine rack for me for our anniversary last year and I framed my great-grandmother's Kifli recipe written in Hungarian. My grandfather translated it to English before he passed away and that is also framed.

Kitchen After: My mom helped me paint all of the cabinets white. I love how it brightens up the space!

I had always seen little coffee stations on Pinterest but never dreamed I'd have one of my own. This just sort of happened!!

My mom painted this chalkboard for our new house without even knowing the colors of the walls! It fits PERFECTLY!

I can't wait to share the rest of the progress! There weren't any before pictures of the downstairs bathroom and it isn't 100% done yet, so I'll share that later on!
