EEK! Congratulations, Danielle and Jake! I had so much fun with you two at your stunning Nocatee wedding! I've known Jake for years and years and years. Another member of our family of choice, we grew up together. For Jake and Danielle, their wedding wasn't about the dress or frills, it was about the vows and the beginning of a forever together. When everything began running behind, there was no stress and there were no concerns. They knew that no matter how far behind any part of the day ran, they were still saying "I do" and making a commitment to their best friend that would last an eternity. Danielle got ready at the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club. A beautiful backdrop for their coastal wedding! I'm positively in love with her dress, shoes, and the perfectly simple cross necklace Jake got her as a confirmation gift earlier this year.
Jake got ready at a close family friend's home and was able to entertain himself with a friendly game of pool!
Jake and Danielle chose to do a first look and it was perfect.
Their ceremony was held at San Juan del Rio Catholic Church.
During the ceremony, the skies opened up. We continued the photos on Nocatee's beautiful grounds!
Mandy at Celebrating Moments Events designed the entire reception as a surprise for Jake and Danielle. It was a stunning event with a nautical flair. I loved hearing Danielle's reaction as she walked in the room - "It's so US!"
Mandy printed out the proposal story written by the groom's sister and attached it to the bottles of wine placed on all of the tables. Here it is, so you don't have to squint:
"Monday night, before Jake's trip to propose to propose in San Francisco, we met at St. Joseph's so I could give him my iPad to borrow. Since we were already there, we thought it would be a nice idea to visit Dad at the cemetery, show him the ring, and offer up a prayer for Jake to be guided in this next big step in his life and that Dad would surround Danielle and Jacob with his presence and love. And he did just that...
Today was the day! They got engaged! And one of the wines they were served was... the THOMAS HENRY riesling and zinfandel! Our father was THOMAS HENRY WILLIAMSON. I got a text this afternoon from Jake, at first it was just a picture of him and Danielle with her beautiful ring and then another popped up, 'And Dad came", with a photo of the bottles."
Danielle's bouquet was stunning, classic, and elegant.
Then there were the first dances. Full of smiles, laughs and love.
The cake was so beautiful. And delicious!!!
And once the dancing began, it didn't stop - even after the lights at Nocatee were turned up to end the party!
